Wine Reviews - Yellow Tail

 yellow-tail-pinot-grigio

Wine - Yellow Tail Pinot Grigio

Vineyard - Yellow Tail

Region - South Eastern Australia

Price - £5

Year - 2007

Tasting Notes:

Dry white wine which is slightly more deeper in colour than a normal Pinot Grigio. It has a delicate nose with hints of citrus fruits. The taste is fresh and of citrus fruits, this wine has typical Pinot Grigio characteristics and would be good with fish dishes or pasta. It is available at most supermarkets and we thought for £5 it was a good value wine and would purchase it again.

Rating - 7/10

Wine -  Yellow Tail Shiraz

Vineyard - Yellow Tail

Region - South Eastern Australia

Price - £6 (30/08/2009)

Year - 2008

Tasting Notes:

Ruby Red Wine. The nose is of blackcurrent. The taste is of blackberries and blackcurrent pastilles, slight tannin with short length for a Shiraz. Food that would go would be pork dishes, ostrich, red meat pasta dishes and meaty fish like tuna. This wine is average.
